Summer heat, camp and life

Hello! Tomorrow we have "graduation." Our little man is graduating from kindergarten. My DH is suppose to wear a suit and I'm suppose to wear a dress. He's had grad photos, preparation, and basically a year looking towards this moment and the start of first grade. It seems a bit overboard. But we are going along with it. I didn't buy the wall hanging of his grad class, but we will take lots of photos tomorrow;)

It's a hot summer up in our areas. We were blessed to cool it down last week when we helped and taught on a sports and leadership camp. We taught about leadership, communication and a parenting session.

We didn't expect that our kids would participate but it worked out that they were able to join in and it was great for them.

My little man was one of the youngest. He made friends with the older kids, did the 7am exercise regimes (it was pretty intense) the activities and was in the teachings.

The campers got into a bit of trouble here and there. Seriously, they punched each other (various times), kicked, teased, etc. One of the leaders was super strict so when kids misbehaved he had them do sit-ups and push-ups. By the end of the week things were better.

We had a special friend with us this week. We bunked up with the boys so he could be a bit more comfortable. He spent time sharing wisdom, experiences, and understanding with us. My words aren't enough to describe it all. We feel very blessed to have wise people to walk alongside.

Well it's getting a bit late and I think I'll say goodbye. Thanks for stopping by and reading:)
