The irony... William's now HOT! Bare Bottoms!

I've been having some good laughs.  We've spent the last few months defending the fact that William wasn't cold.  Once hotter temperatures came around (34C/93F) I struggled to understand why Chinese babies were still in long-underwear.  I found out that they dress according to the dates and not to the temperature, so considering that one of the first hot days happened at the end of April, it was still long-underwear season.  I think the switch-over officially happened the first week of May.

Anyways, so now we just dress him in light-weight clothing and often just a onesie.  The past few days people have been asking me if he's hot!  Yes, these are the same people that probably two weeks ago were dressing their babies in long-underwear.  At the moment, he by far wears less clothing than the Chinese babies.  So WHY do they think he's hot.

Let me share some photos with you and you tell me if you can figure it out.

Today I brought a play mat to the park with a bunch of toys.  There were about 10 babies or so off and on on it.  It was so much fun!  We had a blast!  Now if you use your imagination, normal baby trousers (for boys and girls) have splints that are probably about 10 inches long.  The split stops about an inch or two below the top and bottom part of the waistband.  Basically, it makes play-time on a mat an interesting and dangerous time.  Sometimes parents won't let me hold their babies because they've tried to explain to me that it could be detrimental to my dry shirt.  Let's just say, He Wei Ning (William AKA Ning, Ning) can whether a warm bottom because I quite like diapers!
