Well it's been an interesting few weeks. We went to a great conference and found it a blessing in many ways: relationships, greater understanding of life over here and learning new things. We're with my parents-in-law at the moment in Nepal before we make our way to get our visas in Hong Kong. It's their first time meeting William. They love seeing him and showing him off around their groups of friends, work and to neighbors. We quickly realized that our stroller wasn't made for the streets here and carry him around in the backpack. People like to pinch his cheeks and touch him. It's been nice for Richard and Sylvia to have time with William and bond a bit. We're getting to see where they live and work. Nepal isn't the cleanest of countries and I'm not especially impressed that there are electrical shortages every day (for example today we had electricity until 9am then it went off and came back on from 3-5pm and now it's off until 10pm). So meals have been over candlelight, we use headlamps and I dream of the luxury of electricity on demand.
William's adjusted pretty well to the different time zones. It's very hard to establish routines with many changes; they went out the window. We look forward to getting back into regular routines, starting weening and ALL that's to come in the next two weeks. I'm taking each day at a time and I'm very thankful that he is quite flexible and easily adaptable.
We've been a bit out of communication since we haven't had regular internet access, but we'll try to keep you all up-to-date as much as we can. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts and writing us. We miss and love you all!

Great to hear from you. Good to chat the other day, Luke.
Sounds like william's adapting pretty well considering the changes.
Hope the train ride was fun ayer, noodle-loaded and eye-catching.
