My little man turned 6 last week. Wow, time flies. He now says, "When I was young, I did this or that." He apparently thinks 5 is young and 6 is very old. We have told him that responsibility starts now and that he's growing up. :)
Our second son started preschool. It's been quite smooth. It took my little man about 2 years until he could enter the building without crying. Our middle son has never protested and quite happily goes and comes back each day saying his day was, "great." He isn't use to the school lunches and refuses to eat them. It may take a few months until he gives in and starts to eat. They prepare stir-fried vegetables, mantou (sort of like bland buns), and soup. Ok, I'm not really a soup or bland bun fan either... But he doesn't know that;)
We are trying to encourage them to not give him any treats or snacks if he doesn't eat. So he can choose to be hungry or try new foods and have a full tummy. The teacher yesterday told me that she hopes he will adapt as my oldest one has. Yes, indeed. Hopefully just a bit faster as it took about 2.5 years until that adaption happend!
